North Carolina is a state that will accept applications for specialists for its j1 Conrad 30 Waiver program. If you are a radiologist or if you are an employer who will sponsor an application for a radiologist it is imperative that the employer document its recruitment efforts.
The State Health Department of North Carolina assumes that there are qualified US radiologists who could fill the radiologist position offered to the FMG. Therefore, the employer will need to overcome this presumption by attesting and providing detailed specific recruitment documentation demonstrating their good-faith recruitment efforts. Even after providing this documentation the state could deny the J1 waiver application based on their discretion.
If you are a doctor who needs a J1 waiver contact our office at 415-986-6186 to discuss your J1 waiver options.
